How to make italic text in Illustrator?

  1. Select your text
  2. On menu bar go to: Object > Transform > Shear..
  3. Enter 10
  4. You will see your text in italics

    What if I only want to make one word, in the middle of the sentence italic?

    (I only want to make THIS word italic.)

      Good question, I dont think currently you can do it. You can try entering “THIS” word alone make it to italics, and place it on top of the current one?

      Make sure you mask the text within the paragraph
