What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is an alternate medicine. It is a safe form of medicine. It cures the whole
individual rather than only diseases. The word homeopathy (also spelt as homoeopathy)
comes from the Greek words; homio meaning ‘same’ and pathos meaning ‘suffering’.
The unique features of homeopathy is its principle; ‘LIKE CURES LIKE’ (SIMILIA
SIMILIBUS CURENTUR) which means when a homeopathic remedy is given to a healthy
individual it will produce disease symptoms, hence when this remedy is given to someone
who is sick it sharply causes the body to throw the disease off, hence bringing cure.
